Suicide: Cowardice or Courage?

Hello, hello!

What I've chosen to address today is a question that has been floating in mind for a long time now. When we look around, we see happy faces mostly. However, what we do not know is what goes under that mask of a happy smile, we do not know what a person could be going through even while plastering a grin on their face.
Some of them choose to hide it, some of them choose to say it. Those who do not share their worries or hurt with anyone, let it consume them. This is probably when some of them end up taking extreme steps like taking their own lives. No one knows what is going on in somebody's mind no matter they are alive or dead. Henceforth, it is important to just muster some courage and put it out there.

What question I'm here to ask you is what would you choose to call a person who decides to end his life, would you call them cowards or courageous?

This tussle has been intensified in my head getting to know about the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Would you call them a coward for not giving having the courage or the ability to give life a chance? Can they be termed as cowards coz they chose not to think about their loved ones? Can they be called cowards coz they chose to give up? Can they be called cowards coz they chose to ignore all the beauty of life and just saw the darkness?
OR

Would you call them courageous coz they fought back for as long as they could? Can they be termed courageous coz they died fighting? Can you call them courageous coz even after being in the darkness they survived for that long? Can you call them courageous coz maybe they did not want to feel like a burden on themselves or for their loved ones?

Well, what I have never been able to put it as black and white or draw a line between the two. What I do think is that there is a grey area between the two. The very visible grey area about the question is our mind and its ability. What I know best to describe it is a quote that goes, 'your mind can be your best ally and worst enemy.' I think its best to tame your mind to be your friend coz once you're against your own self, no one gets to help you. It is like being drawn to a black hole.

What I choose to put forward regarding this is that 'Do not let temporary feelings make permanent decisions.' On the contrary, if your dark feelings are constant then reach out! Reach out to your loved ones, reach out for professional help. Coz this beautiful life is not worth being wasted. You need to believe in your magical streak and that the universe works in your favour and not against you, that you are meant for great things in life, that you'll grow through whatever you go through. You must ask for help if you need it, it doesn't make you weak. :)

And you must remember: 'Suicide does not end the suffering, it just passes it on to someone else.'

All my love and sunshine!
